The Shrewsbury Steam Trust was formed to restore and care for the beam engines and boilers at the site. It operates Coleham Pumping Station on behalf of Shropshire Council Museums Service. We do not receive any grants from Shropshire Council and fund the operation and maintenance of the beam engines and boilers from your entrance money and donations. Everything at the museum is carried out by volunteer members of the SST.

To become a member of the Trust and support the museum please click here for an application form. You can also join us and support our cause online here. The current membership is only £12 per year for a single membership, £15 for a couple and £18 for a family. Remember that all of your membership fees directly support the work of the volunteers at the museum. It will be spent on the restoration and maintenance of the machinery and facilities - money well spent! Newsletters are circulated at regular intervals.

If you feel you would like to sponsor our activities at the pumping station please contact us to discuss how to go about it. Alternatively there is a link at the bottom of this page. We always have plans for the future of the museum which are awaiting funding.
