The sounds of the pumping station working during 1968.
The Shrewsbury Steam Trust was formed to restore and care for the beam engines and boilers at the site. It operates Coleham Pumping Station on behalf of Shropshire Council Museums Service.
Supported by the site owners - Shropshire Council we fund the operation and maintenance of the beam engines and boilers and other exhibits from your entrance money and donations. Everything involved with the day to day work at the museum is carried out by volunteer members of the Shrewsbury Steam Trust.
To become a member of the Trust and support the museum please click here for an application form. The current membership is only £12 per year for a single membership, £15 for a couple and £18 for a family. Remember that all of your membership fees directly support the work of the volunteers at the museum. It will be spent on the restoration and maintenance of the machinery and facilities - money well spent!
If you feel you would like to sponsor our activities at the pumping station please contact us to discuss how to go about it. We always have plans for the future of the museum which are awaiting funding.
